I'm currently a Ph.D student in Computer Science and Engineering Division at the University of Michigan, supervised by Prof. Z. Morley Mao. My research interests encompass network systems and network security. I am particularly interested in characterizing and improving mobile network performance. Recently I have been focusing on understanding and optimizing video streaming performance on mobile devices.

  • I work closely with my mentor Shubho Sen to build systems to provide support for developers to better understand and further improve the video streaming performance for Adaptive Bitrate Streaming services. Some of the work has been integrated into the open-source AT&T Video Optimizer tool.
